Dr. Thad Dean specializes in Joint Replacement, Complex Joint Revision and the very rare subspecialization of Orthopedic Oncology, including tumors of the bones, joints, and muscles. In 2018, Dr. Dean was recognized by the American Cancer Society as the Distinguished Medical Provider of Tarrant County. Orthopedic Oncology is the subdivision of orthopedics that cares for children and adults diagnosed with tumors, and tumor-like conditions of the bone and soft tissue. This includes bone metastases, sarcomas, benign and cancerous tumors of the bone or soft tissue, and pathologic fracture. A pathologic fracture is a fracture that occurs in the bone due to a disease rather than an injury.

As a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan, Dr. Dean was no stranger to sports at a young age and had the typical Midwest fair, playing several sports almost immediately. Wrestling from the age of 4, he continued into high school, where he also picked up baseball and football.

Dr. Dean studied at the Northwest Missouri State, Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience, continued into his Residency at Grandview hospital in Ohio before finishing his medical training at Emory University in Atlanta.

Dr. Dean is a proud family man and loves everything about Texas. Married to the love of his life, Sarah, who is a physical therapist, the pair reside with their two children in Mansfield, TX.
