Dr. Shiv Patel, board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine, provides his expertise at our Dallas, Irving, and Waxahachie locations. Dr. Patel obtained his degree in Human Physiology from Boston University, followed by his medical education at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Subsequently, he completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine and pursued his Pain Medicine Fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
Dr. Patel prioritizes the quality of life for his patients, employing a multidisciplinary approach to pain management. He firmly believes in tailoring treatment plans to each individual, recognizing the uniqueness of every patient’s needs. Dr. Patel is experienced with diagnosing and treating patients with a full spectrum of disorders. He performs minimally invasive procedures like epidurals, medial branch blocks, nerve blocks, neurotomies, joint injections, SCS trials/implants, SI fusions, and more.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Patel and his wife developed a deep affection for Texas during their stay in Houston and couldn’t envision settling anywhere other than in the Lone Star State. During his leisure time, he finds joy in the company of his family, friends, and dogs. Dr. Patel also engages in outdoor pursuits such as biking, basketball, tennis, and swimming.
